Actress Svetlana Kharlap, who voiced Piggy and Stepashka, died.


Svetlana Kharlap, a Russian theater and film actress who voiced Piggy, Stepashka and Karkusha in the program "Goodnight Kids", died at the age of 85. This was announced on April 26 by the press service of the Russian Academic Youth Theater (RAMT).
"On April 26, a wonderful actress, Svetlana Evgenievna Kharlap, passed away," the RAMT Telegram channel wrote.
Svetlana Kharlap was accepted into the RAMT troupe in 1964, immediately after graduating from the Drama Studio at the Central Children's Theater. In 1970, she graduated from the Theater department of GITIS.
Kharlap has worked in the theater for more than 55 years and played about 60 roles, took part in the play "Ramayana", which was performed on the stage of the Central Children's Theater for more than 20 years, and played Mrs. Harper in "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" until her retirement in 2022.
"For many years, Svetlana Evgenievna has dubbed movies and cartoons, commercials and even computer games. She was a person of infectious joie de vivre, optimism and inexhaustible energy," the RAMT added.
