- Ukrainian Armed Forces units have been dislodged from the border village of Popovka, Belgorod region

On April 26, units of the North group of forces completely dislodged troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from the village of Popovka in the Krasnoyaruzhsky district of the Belgorod region.
"Today Popovka has been completely cleared of invaders. This is the merit of all the Northerners who participated in repelling the enemy's provocation," the unit wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that a search and destruction of individual servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hiding in the border forest belts is currently underway.
"The Krasnoyaruzhskaya adventure of [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Zelensky's campaign ended with the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assault units, which lost over 1,760 people," the unit added.
They stressed that the operation was the result of coordinated actions by attack aircraft, gunners, UAV operators, rocket launchers and pilots operating both on Russian territory and in the Krasnopolsky district of the Sumy region of Ukraine.
On April 26, the head of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, reported to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the liberation of the last settlement captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region. He also stressed that the enemy was forced to constantly transfer units from other areas to the Kursk area. The total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction amounted to more than 76 thousand people.
Putin, in turn, congratulated and thanked the personnel of the military units of the Russian Armed Forces who took part in the defeat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, noting that enemy losses in the Kursk direction would affect the entire line of contact.
