Swedish authorities have proposed expropriating the Orthodox Church in Westeros

In the Swedish city of Westeros, the Moderate Coalition Party has taken the initiative to relocate the representative office of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) located near the airport. This was announced on April 26 by the SVT TV channel.
Elisabeth Unel, the leader of the local branch of the party, said that in modern conditions it is necessary to remove the foreign representative office from the airport area, as it may pose a security threat. According to her, we are talking about "the property of a foreign state located in a sensitive area."
The politicians sent an official proposal to the Westeros administration to expropriate the building. A response to the initiative is expected at the end of May. If approved, the issue will be referred to the government, and the owner will be offered compensation for 25-30% above the market value.
As the head of the local administration, Staffan Jansson, noted, the issue of expropriation based on alleged ties with Russia had not been raised in Westeros before.
Earlier, on April 15, it was reported that harassment of the parishes of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate continues in Denmark. Pressure is being exerted on both organizations, including the refusal to receive financing and lease premises, and their leaders, up to the arrest and conduct of a police investigation into possible attempts to influence the decisions taken by the Danish authorities.
