The motorcycle season officially opened in Moscow

On the occasion of the opening of the Vorobyovy Gory motorcycle season in the capital, a large-scale motorcycle festival has started. Famous performers perform for the guests, master classes and shows are held, the Department of Transport of the city told.
According to Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry, this year's festival is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. A column of motorcyclists rode along the Garden Ring, decorating the transport with flags and St. George's ribbons. For the first time, the historical equipment of the museum "Engines of War" took part in the race. A replica of the Victory Banner was mounted on one of the motorcycles at the beginning of the column. It was made by the staff of the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of Russia, which houses the original Victory Banner hoisted on the roof of the Reichstag building.
The program of the festival also includes an exhibition of military equipment of the museum "Engines of War", motorcycle club competitions, and prize draws. In addition, the exhibition stands of the GOChS, the Data center and the Mosgortrans Motorcycle School are open. A field kitchen is available for guests.
"According to the task of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, we are improving the safety of all road users and developing a culture of safe driving in the city. To do this, we also hold motorcycle festivals that attract many spectators and participants," Liksutov said.
A mass motorcade ride along the Garden Ring is organized every year in honor of the opening and closing of the season in Moscow.
