Sculptor Tsereteli was buried in Tbilisi next to his wife.

Sculptor Zurab Tsereteli was buried in the Didubian Pantheon in Tbilisi. This was announced on April 26 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the venue of the ceremony.

The sculptor's grave is located next to his wife Inessa Andronikashvili.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, as well as members of the government and Parliament, paid tribute to Tsereteli. The farewell ceremony for the sculptures was attended by his colleagues, artists and hundreds of ordinary citizens.

This morning, Tsereteli's funeral service was held in the church of the Didubian Pantheon in Tbilisi.

Muralist, sculptor, President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli died on April 22 at the age of 92. According to his assistant Sergey Shagulashvili, the sculptor died in his studio at home.
