Zelensky called the meeting with Trump in Rome a good one

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said on April 26 that he had a good meeting with American leader Donald Trump.

"Good meeting. We had a lot of one-on-one discussions. We hope for the result of all that has been said," Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also thanked Trump, expressing the hope that they would "achieve common results."

Assistant to the President of the United States for Communications Stephen Chung said on April 26 that Trump and Zelensky met before the funeral of Pope Francis. It is noted that today's meeting was the first since the public skirmish between Trump and Zelensky at the White House on February 28.

A day earlier, La Repubblica reported that Kiev intends to organize a summit on Ukrainian issues on the day of Francis' funeral with the participation of representatives of the United States, Great Britain, Italy and France. At the same time, it was pointed out that the Italian authorities oppose this initiative due to logistical difficulties.
