- The Investigative Committee opened a case on the murder of a resident of the Kursk village of Bondarevka by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants

In August 2024, militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) killed a resident of the village of Bondarevka in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region when he was going to the store to buy bread. This was announced on April 26 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.
As a local resident told military investigators, the Ukrainian military occupied residential buildings in Bondarevka, placing military equipment on their territory. At the same time, residential buildings were actively shelled, and nationalists also cut power lines.
"They forbade local residents to go outside. During the same period, Ukrainian militants committed the murder of a man who was cycling to the store to buy bread," the department's Telegram channel says.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code (terrorist act resulting in the death of a person). All those involved will be identified and brought to justice, the ministry stressed.
A day earlier, the department announced the initiation of a criminal case on the murder of a civilian by militants in the village of Giryi, Kursk region. On April 14, an APU drone dropped ammunition on a civilian car, the driver of which was the deceased.
