The Moscow Aviation Center has a unique mobile control center based on KAMAZ. According to the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, the center "ensures the work of the operational group in conditions requiring high maneuverability and autonomy." Modern equipment "allows you to complete the tasks set, even if the team is away from the base airfield for a long time," the mayor wrote in his Telegram channel.

According to Sobyanin, the need for such a control center arose after participating in the elimination of forest fires in the Ryazan region in 2022. The cars that were used in the past were ineffective when traveling off-road, and the power of their radios was insufficient.

The new car has three functional compartments. Its control room has a glass dome for a wide view, aerial radio communications, weather station monitors and all-round view cameras. There is also a mobile office with office equipment, satellite telephone connection and a water supply system.

In addition, there is a seating area in the car, which consists of four beds, and one more is provided in the driver's cabin. "The air conditioning and heating system creates comfortable conditions for both work and recreation," Sobyanin said.

According to him, the mobile control center was created in a single copy according to the project of the aviation center staff. Later, it is planned to equip it with two telescopic masts for antennas, which will increase the radio communication range from 10-15 km to 50-70 km, the mayor added.

At the end of last year, the fleet of the Moscow Aviation Center received a new Ka-32A11BC firefighting helicopter. As Sergei Sobyanin noted, the new machine "has the latest location and avionics system" and is adapted for flights "in the most difficult weather conditions." "Now the IAC fleet has 12 rotary—wing aircraft: six firefighters, five ambulances and one reconnaissance aircraft," the mayor said.
