The house of the parents of three-time Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Alexander Bolshunov in the Bryansk region in the Bryansk region was destroyed as a result of a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). Yuri Borodavko, the senior coach of the Russian national ski racing team, told Izvestia on April 26.

According to him, they themselves were not injured, as they had long since left the border area.

"After the start of the conflict, Alexander Ivanovich, when there was already a fragmentation hit in his house, they moved and live near Bryansk. He was informed that his house had been hit yesterday. There is no point in going to watch, because drones hunt both cars and people. Therefore, there is no point in putting your personal life in danger. So he has not yet seen the complete destruction of the house himself, and I think he is unlikely to go there in the near future," the coach said.

In turn, Bolshunov's father told RIA Novosti that he suffered mentally as a result of the shelling of his house by Ukrainian militants. The father of the three-time Olympic champion also confirmed that his family had managed to leave the house.

On April 23, the head of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that a civilian was injured as a result of an attack by an AFU FPV drone on the Bryansk region. Ukrainian terrorists attacked a civilian minibus of the Miratorg agricultural enterprise in the village of Podlesnye Novoselki, Sevsky district. The driver suffered shrapnel wounds, he said.

A day earlier, Bogomaz said that as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes in the Klimovsky and Sevsky districts of the Bryansk region, 31 houses and one store burned down during the day, and the kindergarten building was also damaged. The strikes were carried out with the help of kamikaze drones. There were no casualties in the attacks, he said.
