Germany will not be able to get out of a dependent position in relation to the United States. This was announced on April 26 by Alexey Pushkov, head of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy.

In particular, as the politician noted, Germany's decision to supply long-range Taurus missiles to the Kiev regime largely depends on the approval of the United States. At the same time, Washington is unlikely to allow Berlin to give weapons with American components to Ukraine.

"No matter how much [Christian Democratic Union leader Friedrich] Merz talks about it, it doesn't seem to happen. Nor will there be a Germany independent of the United States, no matter how much Merz calls for it," Pushkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, on April 21, former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said that Europe would not be able to support Ukraine without help from the United States. According to her, the European Union will not be able to produce enough weapons — it will inevitably need the capabilities of the American military industry to fulfill procurement plans.
