Pakistan is open to participating in any neutral and transparent investigation of the terrorist attack in the Kashmiri city of Pahalgam. This was announced on April 26 by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif during a ceremony at the military academy in Abbottabad.

According to him, the current investigation of the tragedy is an attempt to identify the culprit of the attack without an objective approach to the investigation. Sharif called for an end to this state of affairs.

"Consistent with its role as a responsible country, Pakistan is open to participating in any neutral, transparent and credible investigation," Dawn quoted the Prime Minister as saying.

In India, a terrorist attack took place near the city of Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 27 civilians. The Resistance Front, which is recognized as a terrorist organization in India, claimed responsibility for the incident.

In connection with the terrorist attack, on April 25, the Indian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the decision to suspend the 1960 Indus River Treaty and cut off the supply of water from its stream to Pakistan. At the same time, the Indian authorities announced the suspension of the issuance of visas for Pakistani citizens.
