On the eve of the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), the premiere of the second part of the series "Operation Carpathians" will be broadcast on the REN TV channel on May 4. On April 26, actress Ekaterina Volkova told Izvestia about the difficulties of the character of her fate and the heroine.
The series "Operation Karpaty-2", based on real events, will reveal the secret of the confrontation between the Soviet secret services and Ukrainian nationalists in the late 1940s. The spy plot is sharpened not only by politics, but also by love stories, and from each opposing side.
"You have to betray these feelings in the name of duty. This moment is the most interesting and difficult. And, on the one hand, it's kind of a betrayal, and on the other, it's fulfilling one's duty and serving one's cause," Ekaterina Volkova explained.
The characters of the series reveal themselves in a completely different way and reconsider their views. Before that, it will be possible to recall the events of the first part — on Sunday, April 27, at 14:55, the show of all episodes will begin.
