The successor of the deceased leader of the Novgorod organized criminal group Kolya Besa (real name — Nikolai Kravchenko) still owns assets in the Novgorod region, and the daughter of a criminal boss runs a business in Moscow. The investigative film "The Last Gang" about a group that controlled an entire region will be shown by REN TV on April 26.

In the early 2000s, Kolya Besa's group controlled 70% of Veliky Novgorod's economy. The organized crime group was a large criminal syndicate with 15 security brigades and a strict internal charter.

The bandit managed to establish close ties with officials and security forces of the Novgorod region. This is evidenced by the archive video of 1996 from the celebration of the birthday of Kolya's son Besa. The footage shows the entire top of the gang, the leaders of the power bloc, politicians and party leaders. The crime boss himself gives his one-year-old son a thousand-dollar pendant.

Kolya Besa's gangster career peaked in 2013. After that, purges began in Veliky Novgorod, because of which the criminal had to flee to Ukraine. However, he was also detained there and sent to a pre-trial detention center. The former leader of the organized crime group committed suicide before being extradited to the Russian Federation.

At the same time, the death of the criminal authority did not put an end to the group's activities. Kolya Besa's successors retain a number of assets in the Novgorod Region and are actively withdrawing money abroad.

Earlier, on April 24, it became known that Kolya Besa's successor, Andrei Petrovsky, provides financial support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to investigators, he was the only surviving member of the Novgorod gang. At the same time, according to investigators, it was Petrovsky who most likely gave the order to arrange the suicide of the former leader.
