On April 26, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda called for a review of the Christian postulate of non-resistance to evil by violence.

"I think that sometimes you need strength. There is nothing unchristian about fighting back against evil," TASS quoted him as saying.

As Nauseda noted, this statement is an ideological basis in order to protect the forces of a healthy world from destruction. He noted that the geopolitical situation is such that Christian teaching requires amendments, writes "Газета.ги ".

"That is why, in this difficult period, we must carry out some revision of Christian values," concluded the Lithuanian leader.

On April 4, it was reported that Estonian President Alar Karis did not approve the amendments proposed by Parliament to the law against the Estonian Orthodox Christian Church (EHRC). He noted that the amendments to the law could actually lead to a complete ban of the EHRC in the country, which is contrary to the constitution. However, the Estonian parliament has stated that it may again adopt a bill against the EPCC. According to the Estonian Constitution, if the President refuses to approve a law, the Cabinet of Ministers can re-adopt it without changes.
