- Bloomberg has learned about the reduction of US assistance to Kiev in the field of cybersecurity

Washington has limited cybersecurity assistance to Kiev, thereby weakening its digital frontlines and making it easy prey for hackers. This was reported by Bloomberg on April 25, citing sources.
"US efforts to help Ukraine defend itself against cyber attacks have been curtailed amid widespread interference from the administration of [US Leader Donald] Trump. Trump," the publication says.
It is specified that over the past five years, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has allocated more than $200 million to Ukraine for cybersecurity assistance. According to eight agency sources, this assistance included specialized support, training, and the supply of hardware and software to organizations across the country.
The agency noted that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is interested in spending every dollar of USAID on the "prosperity" of US cybersecurity. Therefore, the agency considers only those projects that best contribute to achieving Trump's goals.
"The planned supplies of computer equipment and software designed to ensure the security of Ukraine's infrastructure have not been delivered," the sources stressed.
Ukrainian cybersecurity expert Andriy Mankish told Bloomberg that long-planned cybersecurity projects have suddenly ceased to exist.
The Financial Times newspaper reported on April 23 that Ukraine had failed to reach an agreement with investors on the restructuring of $2.6 billion in debt, and therefore Kiev could default. Nevertheless, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine stated that it would "consider all available options" and continue negotiations.
