The Spanish newspaper El Mundo said on the same day that Real Madrid FC was likely to boycott the Spanish Cup final, where it was scheduled to play Barcelona. It was noted that Real Madrid demanded that the Spanish Football Federation replace the refereeing team in the upcoming game.
