- Soldiers of the North group of forces completed combat missions in the Kursk border area

A motor group of the 177th Separate Guards Marine Regiment of the Caspian Flotilla, as part of the North group of forces, successfully completed combat missions in the border area of the Kursk region. This was announced on April 26 by the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said that the use of motorcycles in combat conditions has proven its effectiveness, especially in logistics and operational evacuation. The high mobility of two-wheeled motorcycles allows the military to move quickly through difficult terrain. The tasks of the military personnel include: evacuation of civilians and the wounded from the front line, timely delivery of ammunition and captured militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to the designated location.
"They pulled out the civilians and our wounded, and at the very end they took away the captured militant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At that moment, when he was being transported, the hunt had already begun for us — drones were flying after us. At the last moment, we saw that the drone had taken off right in front of us. We started to hide, ran into the house. The "birds" were circling above us, and at that moment the attacks on this house began — with cassettes, mortars. But we gathered our courage and exhaled. And as soon as it got dark, they started moving forward in twos across the open area," the commander of a motorcycle group with the call sign Joker shared the details of one of the recent operations.
Despite the intense shelling, the soldiers of the motorcycle group successfully completed the task. So, one of the prisoners turned out to be a resident of the village of Zimnyaya Voda, Lviv region, Andrei Grinchyshyn, born in 1979. He was forcibly mobilized by the staff of the territorial recruitment center (TCK, an analogue of the military enlistment office in Ukraine). Despite the fact that he had an elderly father and a disabled brother at home who needed care, the military enlistment office ignored his family circumstances, the Defense Ministry stressed.
It is clarified that after a short and formal training course that did not provide even the minimum skills to participate in combat, Grinchishin, along with other mobilized men, was sent to the front line in the Kursk region. At the same time, the servicemen were not provided with sufficient ammunition or food, leaving them to fend for themselves.
"We had no order to leave, to evacuate. We were waiting for this to leave, so that we wouldn't have to sit in this position. We waited, waited, then, well, for almost two months," Grinchishin said.
On April 23, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the military of the 810th Separate Guards Marine Brigade, as part of the North group of forces, had driven out units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from key fortified positions in the area of Gornal liberated in the Kursk region. It was clarified that the guards eliminated the AFU militants in Gornala and the border area of the Kursk region with complex fire damage.
