Artists of the St. Petersburg House of Music, with the participation of its artistic director, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, cellist, conductor and music teacher, Maestro Sergei Roldugin, performed in front of the guests at the celebration ceremony of the 130th anniversary of the founding of the State Russian Museum. Footage from the event is published by Izvestia.
Russian Russian Museum guests were greeted near the Main Lobby of the Mikhailovsky Palace by artists in historical costumes, reminiscent of the history of the Russian Museum and the main figures who were associated with its development, in particular, the ideological inspirer of the museum and collector of art objects, Emperor Alexander III and the first governor of the Russian Museum, Grand Duke George Mikhailovich. Famous artists and authors of the collection, Ilya Repin, Ivan Shishkin and Arkhip Kuindzhi, were also mentioned.
The anniversary ceremony ended with a concert, during which the musicians performed works of world classics "Dedication to Peter the Great". The performance took place in the main exhibition hall of the exhibition of the Russian painter Karl Blullov, where everyone could see his painting "The Last Day of Pompeii".
"Bryullov is one of my favorite artists. I think his paintings are very significant in principle for Russian art. I think art is beautiful in all its forms, especially when music and painting come together, it's an overwhelming feeling," said Alyona Solomkina, a laureate of international competitions and a harpist.
In addition, clarinetist Nikita Lyutikov noted that some of the most talented young artists played at the event. He added that the performance program was made up of musicians belonging to the Bryullov era.
"It's very impressive and helps even to some extent in creativity. Even on stage, watching these paintings and landscapes, it's easier for you to immerse yourself in this state, to fully penetrate into art, so to speak, by playing an instrument," Lyutikov added.
On April 21, it became known that the St. Petersburg House of Music is organizing master classes for young talented people in Yalta. 20 young talents performed a concert, which completes a unique course of master classes organized by Roldugin.
