The southern coast of Crimea has become the most popular recreation area for tourists who have already developed certain preferences when choosing the peninsula as a vacation destination. This was announced on April 25 by Sergey Ganziy, Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, as part of a press tour "Blossom in Crimea" organized by the department.

"More than 50% of the guests come to this part of the peninsula. The West Coast (25%) and the East Coast (15%) are already following, while the center of the peninsula, the Bakhchisarai and Simferopol districts, is also in demand," the minister added.

He clarified that tourists began booking summer holidays in Crimea back in October last year, which indicates an increase in the depth of reservations. This was facilitated by an increase in the booking lag for train tickets to 90 days and promotions for early bookings in hotels on the peninsula.

On April 14, Vice-President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Chairman of the Committee of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation on Entrepreneurship in Tourism, Yuri Barzykin, said at the Izvestia press center at a press conference "Tourist Season 2025: Russians' plans for the holidays" that the majority of Russian tourists will travel south during the May holidays. Krasnodar Region is the leader in the number of bookings — 20-33%. The Azov coast is also actively booked — there is an increase of 15%. As for Crimea, the tourist flow to the peninsula has increased by 80% compared to last year.
