Cosmetologist named mistakes in skin care that lead to early aging

Many women make the mistake of using SPF cream only in summer. Valeria Alifanova, a cosmetologist, surgeon, and author of Cosmetology without Complications courses, said this on Friday, April 25.
"This is the first mistake, because we have ultraviolet rays that act all year round. They penetrate through the glass of offices and cars and trigger the oxidation process, produce free radicals in the skin that act harmfully — this is called photoaging," the cosmetologist explained in an interview with Radio 1.
According to the expert, the skin is also affected by carbon monoxide and car exhaust.
"The skin in the city is in a state of chronic hypoxia, meaning it lacks nutrients. Because of this, it starts to look dull, wrinkles appear, that is, premature skin aging occurs," said the cosmetologist, adding that it is necessary to visit forests and parks more often.
In addition, Alifanova stressed that the right care should be chosen based on your skin type and in consultation with a cosmetologist.
In turn, Kirill Antonov, senior instructor and methodologist at the Department of Restorative Medicine of JSC "Medicine" (Academician Roitberg Clinic), told Izvestia that the technique of strengthening facial muscles using special exercises - facefitness — can have the opposite effect: increase wrinkles or lead to facial asymmetry. However, with a proper approach, practice can really bring tangible benefits, he noted.
Earlier, on March 13, Dmitry Urman, a leading cosmetologist, dermatovenerologist, and member of the Russian Society of Dermatovenerologists and Cosmetologists, told the Moscow City News agency that acne products with benzene and benzoyl are effective, but "capricious" to storage and transportation conditions, so you should not purchase them on marketplaces.
