Wreckage of a medieval ship discovered in Barcelona

Archaeologists have discovered the wreckage of a medieval ship during excavations in Barcelona. The Guardian writes about this on April 25.
"Archaeologists excavating the site of a former fish market in Barcelona have discovered fragments of a large medieval boat that was swallowed up by the waters of the Catalan capital 500 or 600 years ago," the article says.
Scientists have come across the stern of a large ship that may have sunk during a storm in the 15th or 16th centuries, when this part of Barcelona was still under water. According to experts, they hope that the study of old boards and nails will help to understand how boats were built in the Middle Ages.
The length of the boat fragment is 10 m long and 3 m wide. Dozens of wooden planks cross it. The structure was fastened with wooden and iron nails.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that scientists had discovered an ancient burial site of a young woman of high social standing in the Lima region of Peru. It is specified that the discovered remains belong to a woman aged from 20 to 35 years. They were found at the Aspero archaeological site in the ancient fishing town of the Karal civilization.
