Axios reported on Witkoff's plans to visit Oman for talks with Iran


The special envoy of the American leader, Steve Witkoff, after meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, is heading to Oman for a meeting on the nuclear deal with Iran. This was announced on April 25 by Axios journalist Barak Ravid.
"Witkoff flew out of Moscow after meeting with Putin and is heading to Oman to participate in nuclear talks with Iran," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Earlier it was reported that Witkoff left the Kremlin after talks with Putin.
Earlier, on April 12, the first round of negotiations between the United States and Iran on the lifting of sanctions and nuclear issues ended. During the meeting, Witkoff, in the presence of Omani Foreign Minister Badr Bin Hamad Al-Busaidi, exchanged the positions of their governments on these issues.
On April 19, the second round of talks between Washington and Tehran was held in Rome. As reported by the Iranian media, a "constructive" dialogue took place between the parties.
