Fraudsters were detained in Novosibirsk for fraud with social payments in 59 regions of the Russian Federation

In Novosibirsk, fraudsters were detained for fraud with social benefits in 59 regions of Russia. This was announced on April 25 by the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk.

"They provided forged documents about childbirth outside medical institutions to the registry office and the MFC for registration of birth certificates for children and subsequent receipt of various social benefits, including maternal (family) capital," Wolf wrote in her Telegram channel.

According to her, as a result of fraudulent schemes, over 630 women illegally received money, and the number of episodes of illegal activity exceeded 700.

It clarifies that 229 criminal cases have been initiated on the grounds of crimes provided for in Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving large-scale payments").

A criminal case has been opened against the organizers and active participants of the criminal community under Article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Organization of a criminal community or participation in it"). 14 detainees were given a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Earlier, on April 7, the Bezhitsky district court of Bryansk sentenced a resident of the city who fraudulently received payments for non-existent children. She was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud in receiving large-scale payments"). The guilty party was sentenced to a fine of 250 thousand rubles. The woman reimbursed the damage caused to the state on a voluntary basis.
