The special services of Ukraine have seized an Asian-flagged cargo ship and detained its crew.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) seized a ship flying the flag of an Asian country because it allegedly entered the port of Sevastopol. This was announced on April 25 in the press service of the organization.

"The detention of the cargo ship occurred as a result of a special operation by the SBU and the state Border Guard Service," the SBU Telegram channel said.

According to Gazeta.Ru", Ukrainian border guards conducted searches on board, seized navigation equipment and documents. According to the SBU, at the end of 2024, a cargo ship allegedly loaded wheat at the port of Sevastopol.

On April 18, employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the Russian Federation detained an SBU agent who planned to carry out an explosion in an administrative building in Novorossiysk. It has been established that the Ukrainian special services recruited a foreigner in December last year through a messenger.
