Sergunina spoke about the introduction of AI and VR in tourism

Moscow is actively implementing artificial intelligence, virtual (VR) and augmented (AR) reality technologies to attract tourists. Thanks to innovative approaches, cultural and sightseeing programs are becoming more intense, said Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of the capital.
"VDNKh, Zaryadye Park, many museums and other venues in the capital offer technological solutions to their visitors. Those who wish can take virtual excursions, go on a space expedition, and chat with digital counterparts of scientists and architects," said Sergunina.
So, in 2024, VDNH launched a digital twin, MetaVDNH, where you can study the decor of the pavilions or take a quest tour. The Cosmonautics and Aviation Center has an audio guide with artificial intelligence, and a robot guide greets visitors at the Cinema Museum.
In Zaryadye Park, tourists can take a virtual "Flight over Moscow 2.0" tour with a 13—meter screen and a movable platform, where about 40 popular urban locations are shown. Another room with a 360—degree view offers a trip to the picturesque corners of Russia - from the Kola Peninsula to the Far Eastern Marine Reserve.
To plan trips, tourists can use the Russpass service, where they can book tickets, accommodation and create an individual itinerary. Another online guide service, Discover Moscow, offers more than 290 walking routes and excursions, descriptions of over 2.3 thousand buildings and almost 500 historical sites.
