Passenger train carriage catches fire in Georgia


A fire broke out in a train carriage heading from Ogurgeti in Western Georgia towards Tbilisi, after which passengers were evacuated. This was announced on April 25 by the press service of the Georgian Railway.
"No one was injured in the accident, and passengers were evacuated on time," says a message posted on Facebook (owned by Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).
It is reported that the incident occurred at the Gomi-Agara crossing. An additional train was sent to remove the evacuated passengers. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
On April 18, a passenger train and a freight train collided near the city of Gwanda in Zimbabwe. As a result of the incident, 18 people were injured and hospitalized. There were 47 foreign tourists in the train.
