Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg will be freed from summer cafes

Nevsky Prospekt will be cleared of summer cafes and restaurants in St. Petersburg. This was announced on Friday, April 25, according to the press service of the Industrial Policy Committee.
This decision was made due to the growing flow of tourists, 78 TV channel reports. According to the committee, the street should be as comfortable and pedestrian-friendly as possible.
Nevsky Prospekt is the main street of the city on the Neva River, stretching 4.5 km from the Admiralty to the Alexander Nevsky Lavra. It crosses the Moika River (the Green Bridge), the Griboyedov Canal (the Kazan Bridge) and the Fontanka River (the Anichkov Bridge).
Earlier in April, it was reported that several beaches would be built in the north of St. Petersburg by the summer. There will be lifeguard towers, beach furniture and equipment, children's play complexes and swings.
