Hunting dates for gray crow and wild game announced in Yamal

The official dates of spring hunting for waterfowl, wildfowl and gray crow were announced in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. This was announced on Friday, April 25, according to the press service of the regional Department of Natural Resources and Ecology.

According to the <url> news agency, in the current 2025 the season will open a few days later compared to a year earlier.

Thus, bird hunting in Yamal will take place in three stages: from May 16 to May 25 south of 65° north latitude, from May 23 to June 1 from 65° to 67° north latitude, and from May 27 to June 5 north of 67° north latitude.

Each hunter is allowed to get a maximum of 10 geese, three grouse, five grouse, five gray crows and 30 duck drakes. An application for a permit can be submitted in person at the reception points, their addresses are listed on the official website of the department.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that social activists are asking the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to review the rules for hunting musk deer, an artiodactyl with fangs. The number of animals is decreasing due to the activities of poachers. Musk deer are harvested for their musk gland, which is also valuable for illegal exports.
