The Moscow project received the Parks of Russia Award

The Orion family theme park at VDNH was awarded the National Parks of Russia Award. According to the deputy mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina, he took first place in the category "Park of the Year" in the nomination "Amusement Park".

"The revival of VDNKH continues. Simultaneously with the restoration of architectural monuments, the complex returns its main historical function — the exhibition function, and also offers guests new formats of cultural, educational and active recreation. There are already ten attractions operating in Orion this season. According to the adopted strategy, their number will more than triple by 2030," Sergunina said.

The award ceremony was held in Moscow as part of the International Exhibition and Conference Park Season Expo. At the event, representatives of VDNH agreed to cooperate with the Association of Parks of Russia, the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation and the Association of Landscape Architects of Russia. The partnership will be implemented within the framework of scientific research, educational, environmental and cultural projects.

The Orion Park has attractions, playgrounds, and food outlets. The Aerial Tramway cable car, the longest in the capital, is particularly popular. The booths, which resemble spacecraft, lift visitors to a height of 32 meters.
