VK will hold the first festival for pet lovers — "Paws"

VK will unite pet owners and lovers, pets and their owners at the Lapki Festival of friendship with pets, which will be held from May 24 to May 25 in Khodynskoye Pole Park. The guests will enjoy performances by artists and meetings with popular pet bloggers. The event is organized jointly with the Moscow Government, mos.ru and ANO "Parks Development". The Lapki Festival events are free of charge and are available to attend upon prior registration.

The Paws Festival will prepare a program with thematic and entertainment activities for families with children, owners and their pets, breeders and those who plan to become an animal owner. Musical and creative performances, lectures, master classes, interactive contests and thematic zones await the guests of the event.

The main stage of the festival will feature performances by artists and DJ sets, meetings with stars and their pets, and an interactive program featuring pets. Lectures, master classes and discussions with zoopsychologists, dog handlers, veterinarians and other industry experts will be waiting for guests in the lecture hall area.

Participants of the festival will be able to immerse themselves in the topics of animal welfare and animal care, get acquainted with the work of service dogs, discover new opportunities for caring for their pets and a comfortable life with them in Moscow, receive checklists for training, upbringing and traveling with pets.

Thematic spaces of VK services will be deployed at the festival site, mos.ru and partners. Animals from shelters who are looking for a home will be waiting for visitors in the Zen zone, and meetings and autograph sessions with pet bloggers will be held in the VK Community space.

Moscow volunteers will help at the event site, organize workshops, and tell everyone how to start helping furry wards in city shelters.

It will be possible to learn about the possibilities of animal support in the capital in the "City of Caring" zone — an extension exhibition and a charity fair will open here.

Workshops on creating toys and blankets for pets will be held for children and parents in the space of the Moscow Youth project and performances by musicians from among the residents of the Tavrida art cluster.

In addition, an animal market, a checkout area, snack bars, creative and play areas for pets and their owners will be organized at the event site. Everyone will be able to purchase merchandise and accessories for pets — the funds raised will be used to benefit the proven VK Dobra funds that help homeless animals.

The Host of the Year award from VK Communities will also be held as part of the festival. For two weeks, the authors of popular VKontakte communities will publish posts with tasks from animals.
