Employees of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia have opened a criminal case into the murder of a civilian by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the village of Giryi, Kursk region. This was announced on April 25 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.
"On April 14 of this year, Ukrainian military personnel, using an unmanned aerial vehicle, dropped an explosive device on a moving civilian car. The man who was driving the vehicle died from his injuries," she said.
According to the agency, a criminal case was opened on the fact of the crime in accordance with paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
The wife said that on that day her husband went on business and after a while stopped contacting her. She was informed about her husband's death later.
Earlier, on April 24, the Investigative Committee of Russia reported on the murder of a resident of the Dmitryukov farm in the Kursk region by militants of the armed formations of Ukraine. A criminal case was opened into the crime under paragraphs "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 ("Terrorist act") and paragraphs "a", "c" of part 3 of Article 356.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Looting").
