Sobyanin spoke about the festive decoration of the capital for Victory Day

Over 4,000 decorative elements will decorate the capital as part of the Moscow Victory Spring Festival, which will be held from May 1 to 11, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
"Embankments, squares, parks, roads and bridges will be decorated with flags and St. George ribbons, themed stands and steles. (...) Electric buses with St. George's ribbons will be launched on urban routes," Sobyanin wrote on his personal blog.
In addition, the mayor continued, the Gardens and Flowers project will transform the center of the capital. "On Novy Arbat, scarlet ribbons will soar above the green alleys of photonics," the mayor added.
Themed constructions "The Hero City of Moscow" will appear at the entrance to the city. On May 9, the architectural and artistic lighting of the central streets will work in a festive mode, and a themed video will be shown on the book houses on Novy Arbat. Video projections dedicated to the defenders of the Fatherland will appear on the facades of the Russian Government House, the building of the Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater and others.
The Victory Day Parade will be broadcast on stage screens on Poklonnaya Gora and in every district of the capital, as well as on metro trains.
