A friendly match between the Russian and Nigerian national football teams will be held at the Luzhniki Stadium on June 6. This was announced on April 25 on the website of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

"The Nigerian national team is based on players playing in the championships of England, Spain, Italy and Germany," the publication says.

After the match with the African national team, the Russian team will head to Minsk to participate in the game with the national team of Belarus, scheduled for June 10.

On February 13, it was reported that the Russian national football team will play friendly matches with teams from Zambia, Nigeria and Belarus in the first half of 2025.

RFU President Alexander Dyukov stated in December last year that the Russian national football team could play matches with rivals from Europe in the first half of 2025.
