Summary of the special operation in Ukraine for the week


A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. "The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. The formations of two mechanized, jaeger, airmobile, amphibious assault brigades, a brigade of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a marine brigade, two air defense brigades and a National Guard brigade were defeated," the Defense Ministry said.
During the week, air defense systems shot down 31 JDAM guided aerial bombs and 12 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the United States, 4 Vampire multiple rocket launchers manufactured in the Czech Republic, as well as 993 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
Also, in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces, enemy losses amounted to over 1,320 militants. Two tanks and 23 armored fighting vehicles were destroyed, including the HMMWV armored fighting vehicle and the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle manufactured by the United States.
Since the beginning of the special military operation, 661 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 53,585 unmanned aerial vehicles, 605 anti-aircraft missile systems, 23,035 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,553 multiple rocket launchers, 24,098 field artillery and mortars, and 34,582 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
