Traffic will be restricted in Moscow over the weekend due to the motorcycle festival


Due to the Moscow Motorcycle Festival next weekend, on April 26 and 27, traffic will be restricted on a number of city streets. This was announced on April 25 by the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate.
In particular, starting today and until 7:00 on Sunday, April 27, traffic restrictions will be introduced on the section of University Square (from Kosygina Street to University Avenue).
From 8:00 to 19:00 on Saturday, April 26, traffic restrictions will be imposed on Kosygina Street (from Michurinsky Prospekt to house 28c22 on Kosygina Street). In addition, Kosygina, Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya and Smolenskaya streets, Vorobyovskoye Highway, Berezhkovskaya Embankment, Borodinsky Bridge and the outer side of the Garden Ring will be closed tomorrow from 11:40 until the end of the event.
Traffic restrictions will be lifted as the motorcade passes through, the traffic police said. Due to the restrictions, the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate asks drivers to choose alternative routes in advance, as well as strictly follow the instructions of road signs, requirements and instructions of traffic police inspectors.
Earlier, on April 17, the Moscow Traffic Management Center announced the closure of streets in the city in connection with the preparation and holding of events dedicated to Victory Day.
