- The head of the FAS called the situation with the prices of chicken eggs in Russia stable

The situation with the prices of chicken eggs in Russia is stable now. This was announced on April 25 by the head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) Maxim Shaskolsky during a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
"The price monitoring of the largest producers of chicken eggs is conducted on an ongoing basis," he said.
Shaskolsky recalled that the government had previously approved a decree from the Federal Antimonopoly Service, which aims to curb prices and prohibits retail chains from charging suppliers for the purchase of butter and eggs in certain amounts.
On April 18, it was reported that in preparation for Easter, Russians spent about 135 million rubles on Easter goods in 2025, which is 2.8 times more than a year earlier. Thus, culinary products are in the greatest demand in online markets this year: almost 112 thousand sets of food dyes and over 98 thousand confectionery toppings were purchased in online markets.
