Actor Nifontov spoke about the uniqueness of the series "Operation Carpathians"


On May 4, REN TV will broadcast the premiere of the second part of the action-packed series Operation Carpathians, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). On March 25, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, actor Yuri Nifontov, told Izvestia about the uniqueness of the series.
"It's a detective story, but it's based on historical facts. And we need to know what happened, and the young people need to know. She should know her roots. She should know how their fathers lived, how their grandfathers lived," said Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Nifontov.
The plot of the series "Operation Carpathians" is based on the struggle of the Soviet special services against British counterintelligence and nationalists in western Ukraine. The events will be recreated with almost documentary accuracy.
The second part of Operation Carpathians is a continuation of the popular series, which premiered on REN TV in 2024. The main roles in the project are played by Vladimir Verevochkin, Alexander Loye and Maria Lisova. Evgeny Sidikhin, Gela Meskhi and Ivan Oganesyan have joined the cast of the series in the new season.
In addition, he is one of the top 3 most successful REN TV series of his own production, along with Operation Neman and The Zig Zag Gang.
On March 28, 2024, the director, producer, and actor of the series Oleg Fomin noted that "Operation Carpathians helps answer many questions of today, since the action of the series echoes what is happening now in Ukraine, where the current authorities glorify Nazism.
