On April 25, the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and entrepreneur Elon Musk called for "thinking ahead" amid online statements about the re-election of American leader Donald Trump for another presidential term in 2032.

"Think ahead!" Musk wrote on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

This is how the entrepreneur commented on the publication of one of the users who posted a photo with a cap that read "Trump 2032."

On March 31, Trump said that he had not yet seriously considered the possibility of running for a third term, but was receiving requests from people to do so. At the same time, he added that he would like to compete with former head of state Barack Obama in the elections. Prior to that, the president had stated that there were ways to achieve a third term for him, but it was too early to think about it now.

The Daily Mail reported on March 30 that the American leader has the opportunity to remain in power until 2037 due to a loophole in the 22nd amendment to the country's Constitution. As specified in the article, this possibility arises due to discrepancies in the interpretation of the said amendment: it prohibits re-election only for a president who has been elected twice, but does not regulate the situation of returning to office in the event of the resignation or death of another president.
