Ukraine may have to give up some territories in order to end the conflict with Russia. This was announced on April 25 by the Mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko.

"One of the scenarios is <...> abandonment of the territory. It's unfair. But for the world <...> it may be a temporary solution," he said in an interview with the BBC.

Klitschko noted that the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, may have to make a "painful decision."

On April 24, it was reported that Germany, Britain and France were trying to find ways to push the Kiev regime to make territorial concessions to resolve the conflict in Ukraine due to concerns about a possible US withdrawal from the negotiation process. However, it is not specified which territories are in question.

On April 23, American leader Donald Trump drew attention to the fact that Zelensky's statement about the refusal to recognize Crimea as Russian territory interferes with the peaceful settlement of the conflict. The US president clarified that the situation for Ukraine is terrible, and its president, by continuing the conflict, "may lose the whole country in a few years."
