The expert pointed to the ability of parents to influence the assortment in the buffets of schools

Parents can influence the assortment that appears in buffets and canteens of schools. This was announced on April 25 by the director of the Federal Nutrition Monitoring Center of the State University of Education, Professor Valentina Ivanova.

According to her, Rospotrebnadzor provides methodological recommendations, according to which school nutrition issues are resolved with the participation of the parent committee.

Ivanova also added that the agency conducts inspections, the results of which are discussed at meetings and can become the basis for appeals to the school administration and control authorities. In addition, there is an automated school nutrition monitoring system of the Ministry of Education, which allows you to monitor the state of nutrition control in real time and form a rating of parental assessment.

"Thus, the parent community has every opportunity to influence the formation of an assortment of food products for sale in school buffets," the expert explained in a conversation with TASS.

In September last year, Oksana Ivanova, Director of Quality at Progress JSC, gave recommendations on choosing safe baby food. She stressed the importance of organizing meals for toddlers who have low nutrient reserves and high sensitivity to pollutants. Ivanova noted that there should be no carcinogenic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and mycotoxins in baby food, and it is also necessary to observe the maximum permissible concentrations of other indicators.
