Five people were killed and another injured when a small plane crashed near a Thai beach. This was reported on April 25 by Thai PBS TV channel with reference to local authorities.

According to the newspaper, the incident occurred near the town of Cha-Am in the province of Phetchaburi at about 08:15 local time (04:15 GMT).

"The rescue team reported that five people were killed, another was injured and was taken to Hua Hin Hospital," the publication says.

The TV channel also noted that the DHC6-400 Twin Otter aircraft belongs to the National Police Agency. The operation of the vessel began in 2020. Thai law enforcement officials are investigating the causes of the crash.

On April 20, it became known that four people died in the crash of a single-engine aircraft in the US state of Illinois. There were two women and two men on board. According to preliminary information, the ship crashed due to the fact that it caught a power line.
