Police officers detained a 32-year-old resident of Khabarovsk with a live grenade and a sniper rifle scope. This was reported on April 25 in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Khabarovsk Territory.

"The detainee explained that an unknown person wrote to him in a messenger and offered him a part-time job: pick up a bag in a dilapidated barrack and store it for a while. The interlocutor promised a monetary reward for these services. The attacker brought the bag to his friend and left it in his apartment," the agency said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen in relation to the suspect. The owner of the seized weapons and grenades is being identified. A criminal case has been opened on the illegal trafficking of weapons and explosives.

On April 16, the FSB Public Relations Center of Russia reported the arrest of a native of Central Asia who planned to commit a terrorist attack at one of the leisure centers in Pyatigorsk. It was clarified that the attacker had conducted a reconnaissance of the area, acquired weapons and components necessary for the manufacture of homemade incendiary mixtures.
