A soldier of the assault detachment of the 68th Tank Regiment of the 150th Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Maga spoke about the liberation of the village of Sukhaya Balka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The footage was published on April 25 by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the agency, the serviceman distinguished himself during the recent liberation of Sukhoi Balka, and was also one of those who raised the Russian flag in the village that returned to Russian control.
The Ministry of Defense also added that the fighter had previously been awarded the medal "For Bravery" for courage and heroism shown during the solution of the tasks of the special military operation (SVO). For the decisive, competent actions shown during the liberation of the village of Sukhaya Balka, a stormtrooper with the call sign Maga was presented with another State award.
"Our command assigned us the task of taking fortified areas from the enemy. <...> We immediately began to solve the combat problem. The command informed us about the number and location of the enemy. We went on a combat mission. <...> We completed the combat mission perfectly," the serviceman said.
On April 22, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that the Russian Armed Forces had liberated the village of Sukhaya Balka in the DPR. In this direction, the enemy lost about 300 militants, a tank, and five armored combat vehicles.
