Crimea expects 300 thousand tourists for the May holidays

About 300,000 travelers are expected in Crimea for the May holidays, if the weather does not let them down. This was stated by the Minister of Tourism of the Republic Sergey Ganzia on Thursday, April 24.

From January to March of this year, 2025, 570 thousand people visited the peninsula, writes IA SevastopolMedia. This is 10% more than in the same period a year earlier.

By tradition, almost half of vacationers prefer the Southern Coast, while 25% go West. The east coast attracts about 15% of tourists. Simferopol and Bakhchisarai districts are considered popular.

According to the official, hotels are on average loaded by more than 40%, in some hotels up to 80-100%. Local accommodation facilities are booked until October 2025, the first applications were received last fall.

According to the minister, holidays in Crimea are 20% cheaper than in other similar regions.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote about the new facilities that Crimea attracts tourists to. In 2024, interesting places appeared in Alushta, Gurzuf, Yalta, Simferopol and near the resort "Mriya".
