Views of children's content on VK Video have increased by more than 30 times over the past year. This was announced on April 24 by the VK press service.
"The growth of the children's audience on the platform is our strategic priority. Due to the fact that there is now a dynamic digitalization of children's leisure and the demand for local content, our main focus is safe content that combines entertainment and education," said Nikolay Duksin, Vice President for music and video services at VK.
He also added that VK Video will continue to expand through active partnerships with new studios and bloggers.
In addition, this growth was made possible by the launch of a "child mode" with the ability to filter content by age. Cartoons such as "Masha and the Bear", "Smeshariki" and "Three Cats" are currently popular in the top of such content, as well as various bloggers: Vlad A4 Paper, Double Bubble, Lunomosik and Like Nastya.
VK Video also presents projects by major studios, including Soyuzmultfilm, Metrafilms, Zero Plus Media, Melnitsa, and the Riki Group of companies.
Earlier, on April 4, it was reported that VK Video and YouTube became the most popular and visited video hosting sites in Russia in March. Rutube is the third most popular service among the audience.
