A tourist from the Moscow region who contracted cholera in India had contact with 321 people in Russia. This was reported by the Department of Rospotrebnadzor in the Moscow region.

"Rospotrebnadzor specialists promptly established a circle of contact persons — 321 people in 33 regions of the country (among them family members, passengers and crew of the flight who received the patient, ambulance doctors)," the agency said in a statement on its website.

It is specified that all those who came into contact with the patient were taken under medical supervision, and a medical examination was organized for them. According to Rospotrebnadzor, none of the contact symptoms of the disease are present.

The cholera patient himself, as specified in the department, is in a satisfactory condition with positive dynamics.

Earlier, on April 17, Rospotrebnadzor denied information about cholera in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The ministry noted that messages of a similar nature began to appear back in 2022. However, the epidemiological situation of cholera was stable and was under constant control of the sanitary authorities, and preventive measures were also carried out.
