The Savelovsky District Court of Moscow has arrested in absentia the Russian billionaire and former owner of the Solikamsk Magnesium Plant (SMZ) Peter Kondrashev in a fraud case. This was reported on April 24 in the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.
"By a decision of the Savelovsky District Court of Moscow, the investigator's request for a preventive measure in the form of detention against Pyotr Ivanovich Kondrashev was granted," the courts wrote on the Telegram channel.
In addition, the court arrested Igor Pestrikov, a former SMZ shareholder, in absentia and put him on the international wanted list in the fraud case.
It is specified that Kondrashev and Pestrikov were arrested for two months. The term will be calculated from the moment of their actual detention or transfer to the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, on April 7, it was reported that Kondrashev was put on the international wanted list. In the spring of 2022, the Arbitration Court of the Perm Territory granted the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation for the seizure of more than 350 thousand shares of UAC Solikamsk Magnesium Plant owned by Igor Pestrikov, Timur Starostin, Peter Kondrashev and Sergey Kirpichev into state ownership.
