The expert warned about new requirements for tourists in Thailand

Among the Russian tourists who bought package tours for the May holidays, 12% chose Thailand. The most popular resorts are Pattaya and Phuket. However, starting from May 1, 2025, new entry rules for foreign tourists will come into force in Thailand. Emil Ziyadinov, head of tours at the Tutu travel service, told Izvestia on April 25 how Russians can prepare for a trip to avoid difficulties when crossing the border.
The expert recalled that the main innovation is the mandatory filling out of the electronic migration questionnaire TDAC (Thailand Digital Arrival Card) strictly three days before arrival in the country. The document is available on the website of the Immigration Bureau of Thailand, where there is a Russian-language version of the interface, although the questionnaire itself must be filled out in English. According to the expert, Russians used to have to fill out a paper questionnaire at the entrance.
The questionnaire consists of three main sections. In the first one, you need to provide personal information: full name, passport number, date of birth, country of residence, as well as information about the trip — the country of departure, type of transport and departure date. The second section is devoted to the place of residence in Thailand. Here you will need to enter the name and address of the hotel or apartment. The third block contains health questions, including a list of countries that the tourist has visited in the last two weeks.
"It is important to remember that without a completed application form, entry into the country can be complicated," Ziyadinov warned.
The form is free, and the data is saved in the system, which allows you to simply update the information on repeat trips.
"The Thai authorities warn that they may not be allowed into the country without a completed form. The questionnaire is free, and in order not to forget about the new procedure, it is worth adding it to the checklist of mandatory cases before the trip," Ziyadinov advised.
On April 19, Ekaterina Dolgikh, Avia's head of marketing at the Tutu travel service, told Izvestia about important nuances in preparing for a summer vacation. She suggested that in order for the rest to be stress–free, it is better to start preparing in advance, at least 1.5-2 months in advance. She reminded that during the trip you should not forget comfortable clothes, a swimsuit, sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, charging, a power bank, headphones, and an adapter for local outlets.
