SVR: Europe is fabricating new accusations about Trump's ties with Moscow

Britain and France are persistently fabricating new accusations about US President Donald Trump's ties with Moscow in order to disrupt negotiations on a settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. This was announced on April 24 by the press bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) of the Russian Federation.
"British and French intelligence agencies are persistently sending information dirt seekers who have escaped from Russia and are on the verge of survival <...> to fabricate accusations of Trump's entourage in secret ties with Russian political and business circles," the report says.
In addition, the ministry added that London and Paris want to use these falsifications to undermine the Trump administration's policy and destroy the negotiation process for a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.
On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that against the background of consultations in London, the United States, Europe and Ukraine had problems with the convergence of the parties' positions on the issue of conflict resolution. He also noted that the Russian side, in turn, is negotiating through various channels, which are a "different angle" of the process.
