The first all-metal Sollers SF1 van rolled off the assembly line at the Yelabuga automobile plant. This was announced on April 24 by the press service of the automaker. The new model is being produced on the same production line in conjunction with Sollers Atlant vans.

"Small businesses require efficient and universal solutions for intercity transportation. The Russian market of compact vans is not yet saturated with offers. I am confident that with the new Sollers SF1 product, which complements our range of low—tonnage equipment, we will offer our customers a reliable business tool," said Sollers Sales and Marketing Director.

The new compact van is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline turbo engine with a capacity of 136 hp combined with a five-speed manual transmission. The cargo hold with a volume of 5.15 cubic meters has a protective PVC floor covering and is equipped with interior lighting. Two versions are available for the customer's choice — with a gross weight of 2,600 kg or 2,499 kg. The overall height of 1.9 m allows easy access to low parking lots for loading and unloading.

The basic equipment of the car includes two front airbags, an anti-lock braking system (ABS), rear parking sensors, electric side windows and mirrors, air conditioning, a standard audio system with USB and MP3 support, heated driver and front passenger seats. Cargo and passenger versions of the car are expected to appear in the future. Orders for this van have been accepted since the beginning of April, and the cost of the car starts at 1.99 million rubles.

Earlier, on April 22, it became known that small-scale production of an all-wheel drive tourist minibus could begin in Russia on the basis of the UAZ Profi car.
